Responsibilities
Steve manages his team of dedicated producers to develop programs of insurance for theatre owners, museums, and other related businesses in the Arts & Entertainment Industries. He attends the National Association of Theatre Owners’ (NATO) conventions each year to further develop relationships with clients and remain active in the theatre exhibition industry. Steve also serves on the NATO scholarship committee to award college scholarships to employees of motion picture theatres each year. As a member of the MOC Executive Committee, he works with the CEO and CFO to direct the overall operations of the agency.
Experience
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in 1975. He also earned a Master’s of Science degree at the University of Minnesota in 1977.
Before joining MOC Insurance Services in 1988, he worked as a geologist for Chevron Corporation for nine years. After changing careers to the insurance industry, Steve started at MOC in Personal Lines and, after serving in management positions in Commercial Lines and Entertainment, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of MOC in 2004 and then to Executive Vice President in 2014.
Interests
Steve’s interests include swimming, cycling, gardening and playing the piano.
